Energy 4 Humanity (e4H) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to helping low and medium-income families reduce their energy burden and participate in the energy transition. Low-income families spend proportionately 3X more of their income than the rest of our community and live with a greater risk of energy shut-offs. We take a holistic approach through workforce development, education and select projects to ease this burden and increase participation in the energy transition.
Today, e4H does this in three primary ways:
- Solar installer courses and certification preparation, in partnership with community organizations.
- Energy customer education on energy management, supplier selection, and energy efficiency.
- Subsidizing select projects including solar installations, backup-battery storage, and energy control devices.
